Fuel Transport is expanding rapidly and looking to hire a Carrier Sales Manager for its downtown Chicago office.

As a Carrier Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing carrier relationships, with the opportunity to earn uncapped commission.  You will drive account growth through prospecting, sourcing, and account penetration and support the overall strategy and profitability of the business.  Fuel is looking for motivated, competitive, and assertive self-starters who demonstrate a positive attitude and are ready make an immediate impact in our fast-paced environment.

  • Establish a carrier base for new and existing accounts
  • Maintain and grow relationships with carriers to move freight as per client’s needs
  • Identify issues, resolve problems, and be able to think critically to determine the best course of action in an ever-changing industry
  • Persistently contact new and existing carriers to determine capacity and negotiate competitive rates
  • Maximize partnerships by efficiently utilizing analytics and evaluating profits as per market fluctuations
  • Generate leads for future client identification
  • Research and understand market trends, changes and seasonality
  • Communicate with clients and carriers daily to negotiate rates plan movement
  • Work in tandem with the internal team members to ensure client satisfaction
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
