Fuel Transport is expanding and looking for a Full-time Truck Driver Recruiter. The person selected will be responsible to attract, select, evaluate, integrate and retain qualified Class 1 Owner Operators and Professional drivers.

Detailed Job Description:
 
  • Manage job postings utilizing the internet, social media and other recruitment sources.
  • Work with the Marketing department to establish and support recruiting activities and hiring needs/objectives.
  • Work with the Human Resources department of on-boarding and employee file coordination; as per established process.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on market situation, packages and trends with driver’s package & programs; to make sure of competitiveness.
  • Research and evaluations of potential candidates, conduct phone screens and on-site interviews.
  • Coordinate selected applicants interviews with the Operations Director.
  • Coordinate required pre-employment tests and all hiring checks, requirement needed as per the hiring process and communicate results to the Operations Director. (background, drug testing, references etc.)
  • Prepare hiring, employee file and on-boarding documentation.
  • Conduct on-boarding sessions for new drivers to communicate policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the development of strategies for driver retention.
  • Maintain, update and improve company policies, procedures, processes pertinent to driver recruitment.
  • Research, evaluate and identify new sources, activities, career events to attract drivers.
  • Manage the follow-up on Internships and Mentoring programs established.
 
Skills & Requirements:
  • High school with at least 2 years experience in mass recruitment or post secondary with at least 1 year of experience in human resources or recruitment.
  • Experience coordinating drug testing, reference checks and accident/incident report verifications. (Asset)
  • Bilingual French and English (written and spoken is a must)
  • Strong knowledge in: MS-Office; Word / Excel / Outlook.
  • Resilient, customer service oriented, determined with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across organizational lines from drivers to management level; results driven.
