Fuel Transport is expanding rapidly and looking to hire a Logistics Coordinator for its downtown Chicago office.

As the Logistics Coordinator on our evening shift, you will support our Carrier Sales Managers and Customer Sales Executives to execute the account operations and support the overall strategy and profitability of the business.  You will be responsible for managing our shipments Monday-Friday from 2pm until 11pm by entering and scheduling shipments, efficiently tracking all loads to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery and maintaining relationships with both carriers and customers.  Integrity, a positive attitude, strong detail orientation, proactive problem-solving skills and collaboration will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a high level of data integrity on all daily activities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally both externally and internally
  • Respond to all customer requests immediately and professionally
  • Effectively use Fuel’s transportation management system and Microsoft Suit to assist in day-to-day tasks.
  • Be able to fully understand customer requirements, troubleshoot and implement strategy accordingly
  • Follow up on and execute on outstanding accessorial’s for the office
  • Any other task requested related to scanning, documentation support, fax, and photocopies as a general support to the well-being of the operation  
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; logistics experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Be able to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must maintain a professional demeanor in all scenarios
  • Strong organizational skills and customer service orientation
